Packing tape

If you have found that you have packing tape residue on some of your furniture, there is hope to be able to remove it. Follow these steps in order to do so:

• Purchase some kind of a goo remover that is sold in most hardware stores. Most of these removers have a citrus base with some kind of an oil compound that works to wipe off the residue easily after the remover has been applied to the packing tape residue.

• Make sure that all of the tape that might be left over is removed from the furniture. You cannot remove the residue left from packing tape if the packing tape has not been completely removed.

• Take the goo remover and dab some directly on top of the residue. You will want to spread it out into a thin layer all over the area where the packing tape residue has been left.

• Using this packing tape residue removal method can take a little bit of patience. After you have spread the goo remover over the residue, step away from the furniture for 5-10 minutes in order to give the solvent enough time to react.

• The rest of the process is fairly simple. After about 10 minutes you should be able to simply wipe away the packing tape residue with a cloth or a towel. If there is some leftover solvent, that can be cleaned up with soap and water. If you dry it up with a paper towel, you should be good to go.
