Foam packaging

If you plan to use foam packaging, there are a few things that you will need to make sure of before you use it. Some of these things include:

• How much you will need – The amount of foam packaging you will need depends on a few things. You will want to be able to provide more cushioning for items that are of a high value and heavy. When you choose a box, you will want to make sure that the box is not only large enough for your item that you will ship, but also large enough for the foam packaging that will go inside the box.

• Peanuts are usually best – In most cases, the best foam packaging items are foam peanuts. Not only are these peanuts the most versatile, but they are also the least expensive and most cost effective. Spread the peanuts all around the items to be shipped to get the best protection.

• Custom-fit or not – Some items will be best served by having foam packaging that is custom-made. Often expensive or fragile objects are surrounded by custom made foam packaging.

• Check it all – When you complete your foam packaging project, you need to do a few checks to make sure that everything is packed correctly and in its proper order. Doing this will help ensure that your package will arrive safely.
